About
Spread over three floors, this indoor entertainment center was built for the kid in all of us. There are games suitable for children from about age 7 and up, with a few games - like beer pong and axe throwing - clearly intended for adults.
The setting is casual and family-friendly, and you'll often find the restaurant and games areas quite relaxed during daytime hours. There are plenty of games to choose from, though some come with extra costs that can quickly add up if you're having too much fun.
Explore all three floors and you'll come across pool tables, foozball tables, pinball machines and videogames. You can also play footpool - a fun combination of soccer and billiards.
And there are boardgames… lots of boardgames. The Playroom boasts one of the largest collections in the city, and it's not uncommon for guests who come to ignore all the other games and simply pick out a Monopoly, Jenga or Catan set to play at their booth with friends and family.
The Playroom's biggest draw is its archery range, where kids 7 and older, as well as adults, will receive a free lesson on safety and technique before being given the all-clear to fire a volley of arrows at the bullseye targets along the back wall. Smaller bows are available for younger archers, and staff can adjust the target distance.
If you're still fretting about the axe throwing. Don't worry, it's in a caged off section for adults only, and management has a strict policy: "play first, drink after".
