Samathi Lake is a small lake with a surprising number and variety of fish. The serene setting and lush foliage surrounding most of the lake makes it easy to forget that you're still inside the city limits.

Samathi Lake Resort operates on the southern shore of the lake and allows visitors to fish from its dock for a small fee. The resort rents out fishing rods and bait, but it's better to bring your own as their stock is limited.

Sport fishing is catch and release here, though you can keep fish up to 5kg for an additional price.
