Housed in one of the city's last remaining significant colonial buildings, it's worth bringing the kids to visit this functioning post office to show them how the postal system works and introduce them to postage stamps.

The French-designed building has a stunning exterior, though its interior is fairly plain. There are rooms for sending or receiving mail, and a separate wing for philately that includes mint and franked stamps for collectors.
