Your kids will love visiting this real working farm and rustic countryside resort. Spread over several hectares, the farm grows leafy vegetables such as lettuce, rocket and basil, and raises chickens, geese and rabbits.

The whole family can rent bikes or stroll around the property. And when you've worked up an appetite head to the restaurant or choose a quiet spot for a picnic (you're allowed to bring your own food). For a small fee, you can fire up the onsite BBQ and cook your own lunch. And if your kids are lucky enough to catch a fish in the pond you can throw it on the grill.

There are plenty of activities to fill up the day. Take a boat out on the lake or go for a swim in the pool. Or walk to the large grassy field where children can play, toss around a frisbee or fly a kite. An even bigger field nearby is set up for futsal or football.

The farm has its own outdoor children's playground, which includes swings, a slide and a small climbing wall. There is also a sandbox and plenty of trees to climb.

You can stay overnight in one of the boutique guestrooms, or choose a spot to pitch your own tent. There are tents for rent as well.

The farm can get busy with large groups, especially on weekends and holidays, so it's advisable to let them know you're coming. Remember to bring hats, sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
