Kid-KATHON 2024 🆓

"Ever dreamed of becoming a young innovator ? Kid-KATHON is your chance to shine! Join this exciting competition where you'll collaborate with like minded-friends to use technology in turning ideas into reality. Students will get hands-on experience with technical skills like coding and prototype development, while also developing essential soft skills such as teamwork and learning more about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Kid-KATHON has something special to offer to each and everyone of you!"

Details:

• Competition is a two-day program

• Designed for students in Grade 7-9 (age 12-15yrs)

• Located at 'Tech for Kids Academy'

• Intending to encourage student participation in global and community problem solving through technology

• Participate in either Khmer or English

• Deadline for registration September 20th 2024 (later applicants may be accepted TBC)

Objectives:

> kids can learn, think outside of the box, initiate, and implement projects

> participants can come up with an implementable solution to tackle issues on a theme

> the topic theme will be chosen under the framework of UN SDG (relevant topics under Cambodia’s SDG)

> serve as a platform for kids to express their passion through technology and innovation establishing a debugging mindset

> provide passionate children with the opportunity to collaborate, think critically, perform under pressure and to be aware of the world’s existing problems
